A new Wisconsin-based company that provides custom laboratory training, lab set-up, and microbiology testing services to craft breweries.
Founder Terese Barta, Ph.D., has been working with local breweries for almost 10 years. In 2012, she began offering a two-day laboratory-based training course to brewing professionals through the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. In March 2016, she decided to expand services to craft brewers by starting a new business in Stevens Point. A microbiologist with over 20 years of experience in teaching and research, she understands the needs of a growing craft brewing industry. She has worked with breweries across the midwest, including Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, as well as breweries as far away as Nevada and Massachusetts.
